They look a little washed out. If it’s pet portraiture for a client, I think the image would be more powerful if you could get a similar shot of the pup looking more towards the camera. I wasn’t going for the dark look as that would have taken the main focus away from the puppy itself. The dog appears to be looking at something a little above the lens (were you holding a toy or a treat above your head?). If the dog was looking a little bit lower or the camera was higher its fur wouldn’t be obscuring its eyes. I might consider removing the dog’s collar and harness(?).

If you need to keep them on for safety then by all means leave them.
